WAGYU KANATA is a yakiniku restaurant in Amsterdam, and it's where you can enjoy some of the highest quality beef the world has to offer. At KANATA, you will have a built in Japanese barbecue in your table, where you will grill your meat and vegetables by yourself. It's a interactive dinner, where you enjoy delicious food while having fun with your company! Our staff are always more than happy to help you with grilling if you have any questions. 

What is Wagyu?

Wagyu "和牛", literally meaning Japanese "å’Œ", beef "牛 ", is a breed of cattle originally from Japan and it is famous for its rich marbling, exquisite flavor and texture, often regarded as the best and most expensive beef in the world. At Wagyu Yakiniku KANATA, we select Wagyu with the best quality per price ratio, so that we can maintain a reasonable price range and high quality. We currently offer a selection of Wagyu from Japan with A5 or A4 grade, which are the highest grades for Japanese Wagyu and also Wagyu from Spain, from farms that already has decades of experience in breeding high quality Wagyu. 


What is Yakiniku?

Yakiniku "焼肉" is the Japanese style BBQ with Korean influences, and it is the most popular way to enjoy Wagyu in Japan. There are more than 18,000 Yakiniku restaurants in Japan and it's one of the nation's favorite destinations to enjoy dinner and drinks with friends and family. Guests can enjoy a fun interactive dinner, grilling delicious food to their own taste.


Our Mission

Our mission is to provide authentic Yakiniku and Wagyu experience to our guests with Japanese "omotenashi" (hospitality) and make our guests feel like as if they were in a Yakiniku restaurant in Japan. We value high quality food and service, and we always do our best to provide the best experience we can offer, to our guests.
